What's in the box:
What you need:
You need: Clay + Roller + Ceramic Tile
Knead your 5 pieces of clay - starting with the lightest (white) colour first until it is soft but not sticky. When bending/ folding it it should not crumble or crack, this can take up to 20 mins if you do all 5 colours. Use the alcohol wipes to clean your hands & tile.
Then, roll out your clay onto your tile using the depth guides (bamboo sticks) by placing them left and right on top of your tile. These guides are 3mm's thick which is the ideal thickness for earrings. You want your clay slab to be a smooth 3mm piece when done.
You need: Cutters + Soapy water
Lightly dab the cutter(s) into the soapy water then, press it down onto the clay slab with even pressure. You want the clay to stick to the ceramic tile so it does not stick to the cutters. Give it a slight wiggle as you lift the cutter. If it does stick, use your earbud to gently press it out.
You need: Sharp Pin
Use your sharp pin to make holes (where you will put your jump rings later).
You need: Normal oven + wax paper + clay pieces
Set the oven to 130' Degrees Celsius, once it reaches that temperature, bake your pieces for 40 minutes on wax paper (supplied in your box but you can also use normal wax paper). Only bake the clay, never bake the silver or gold findings that you will use as attachments later.
After baking: Let it cool off for 5 mins. before starting with step 5. The clay should be bendable / flexible, it is polymer clay not ceramic clay.
You need: Buffer / sander
Using your buffer to sand your edges until smooth.
You need: Jumprings, findings + glue + pliers
Assemble your pieces using the jump rings and findings. If you prefer studs instead if hanging earrings use the glue to apply the earring posts (takes 24 hours to dry).
You need: Silver/gold foil + clay slab + roller
Add some bling to your design by applying the foil bag (supplied) on top of the clay slab.
You need: Sponge (supplied) or grit paper / sanding paper (from your garage)
Press the sponge (supplied) or grit paper onto the clay slab before cutting to create a 'sand stone' matt texture. Watch this video for tips >
You need: Multiple colours of clay + (optional) gold/silver foil + roller
Create a beautiful mix of marble colours by combining & rolling them into a single slab.
